Mr. De Villepin was Prime Minister of France (2005 to 2007), appointed Prime Minister by President Jacques Chirac. From 1995 to 2002, he was Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic. Prior to this, he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs (2002 to 2004) and Minister of the Interior (2004 to 2005). Since 2008, he set up a firm to support  the strategies for cross-border investment and activities particularly in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has written numerous books of poetry and fiction and essays on history, international relations and art.
