Hon. Ms. Krishna Mathoera served the National Police Force for 34 years. She was appointed the national representative for Suriname to CICAD (Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission) from 2010 till 2015.  Last year she left the police force to  join politics. She is a currently Member of Parliament in Suriname. She is also the chairperson of the Art of living foundation in Suriname and a Rotarian. She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration.
