Joe Mastrangelo is Chief Executive Officer and leader of GE’s Power Conversion business. Power Conversion applies the science and systems of power conversion to help increase the efficiency of the world’s energy infrastructure.
Power Conversion’s technologies are in process controls, automation systems and high-efficiency power electronics, motors and generators that serve a variety of specialized sectors such as energy, marine, industry and all related services. The more than 2 billion dollar business employs over 10,000 and is headquartered in Paris, France.
Power Conversion was acquired by GE in September of 2011. Mr. Mastrangelo led the acquisition and as CEO has succeeded in integrating the company while enabling growth across multiple GE businesses.
Prior to this current role, Mr. Mastrangelo spent the last 10 years in GE Oil & Gas. During his time in Oil & Gas he progressively moved from a role in finance, to quality followed by commercial operations culminating in his being named a GE Corporate Officer in 2008 while leading the Turbomachinery Business.
Mr. Mastrangelo was born in Harrison, New York. He attended Clarkson University and graduated with a B.S. degree in finance, and earned an associate degree in business administration from Westchester Community College in New York. His hobbies include running, reading and traveling with his wife Marta and their two children.
