Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder, World Forum for Ethics in Business
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a humanitarian and an ambassador of peace and human values. Through his life and work, Sri Sri has inspired millions around the world with a vision of a stress-free, violence-free world. He has developed courses that provide techniques and tools to live a deeper, more joyous life and he has established nonprofit organizations that recognize a common human identity above the boundaries of race, nationality, and religion.
Sri Sri and his organizations are engaged in reform and conflict resolution initiatives around the world. In his work Sri Sri Ravi Shankar recognizes the vital importance of the human factor, culture and mindset in reform processes. With the World Forum for Ethics in Business he has institutionalized a body which aims to bring about transformation through a multi-stakeholder approach to ethics, good governance and transparency in the world of business and sport.
In June 2015, Sri Sri travelled to Havana where he initiated a dialogue with FARC Peace Delegation inviting them to embrace the principles of nonviolence of Mahatma Gandhi. Following this discussion, in July 2015, FARC declared unilateral ceasefire. On 26th September 2016 Sri Sri is invited by the Government of Colombia to be present during the historic peace treaty.
