Dr. Aftab is a leading expert in digital privacy, security law, and cybercrime. She founded the Internet safety organization WiredSafety and the consulting firm WiredTrust. In 1999, UNESCO appointed Dr. Aftab to lead its online child protection project for the United States. She has been on the advisory boards for MTV’s A Thin Line, Fair Play, Sesame Street Online and the Ad Council. Previous clients include Facebook, Disney and Nickelodeon. Her latest program, shareUcare, designed by a Canadian 7-year-old to promote caring and kindness online, will be launched at the WCF through an app donated by AKSystems.
