Of these, Virgin Records is the biggest independent label in the world, and Virgin Atlantic, a leading global airline. He is credited with building Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial spaceline. He is the world’s most social CEO and the world’s most followed person on LinkedIn. His foundation, Virgin Unite, tackles tough social and environmental problems. Branson was awarded a knighthood in 1999. He lives on Necker Island with his wife Joan and two children, Holly and Sam.
