Our global Retail Network is one of the key success factors for us. Consequently, the qualification of our colleagues working at the point of sale and representing our brand around the globe in a consistent way is a vital prerequisite for the achievement of our business objectives. I am looking forward to sharing some key levers and our Mercedes-Benz Global Training approach with the participants of this year’s World Forum for Ethics in Business.
Jörg Himmelmann is the Director of Global Training for Mercedes-Benz at Daimler´s headoffice in Stuttgart. He assumed this global responsibility in autumn 2014 after having been in charge of Mercedes-Benz Sverige A/B and Mercedes-Benz Danmark A/S as President & CEO for 6 years.
He started his career within aftersales at a Mercedes-Benz dealership and later on at a factory owned retail branch in his home town Hamburg. His subsequent assignments at the Mercedes-Benz Headoffice in Stuttgart include regional aftersales export responsibilities for Australia/Pacific followed by sales & marketing with a focus on Asia. During the last decade prior to his move to Sweden he was responsible for the global volume planning and allocation, order processing and extensive project development within the passenger cars sales division.
